Woo! There are so many things happening this month… and bookworms will be wiggling back to school. Here are some Valley Grange and school activities coming up:

Wednesday, October 10th at 1:45 PM — Valley Grange Bookworms and members meet at PCES in Guilford to kick off the Bookworm Reading Program with second and third graders.

Saturday, October 13th  8 AM – 4 PM — Valley Grange supports the JD Foundation’s annual “Keeping Our Communities Warm” Project held at 107 Main Street in Abbot. The project provides low and no cost winter clothing to folks who need a little help keeping warm. Donations are appreciated. For more information contact Cheryl Morin at 207-876-2295 or visit

Tuesday, October 16th at 9:00 AM — Mrs. Marsh will be at school to read.

Tuesday, October 16th at  1:00 PM — PCES Dictionary Day at Valley Grange—Third graders will visit the Valley Grange Hall at 1:00 PM for a special historical presentation that includes every student receiving his or her very own dictionary. (Parents of homeschooled children are urged to contact the school about attending and participating.)

Thursday, October 18th at 9:00 AM — Mrs. Bosworth will be at school to read.

Friday, October 19th at 6:00 PMValley Grange meets for a potluck supper followed by our regular monthly meeting at 7 PM. Many members will be attending the Aliza Stutzman benefit at PCES, 6 PM. Our meeting has been changed to November 2nd.

Tuesday, October 23 at 9:00 AM —  Mrs. Erwin will be at school to read.

Thursday, October 25 at 9:00 AM — Mrs. Bosworth will be at school to read.

Tuesday, October 30 at 9:00 AM — Mr. Boomsma will be at school to read.
